這篇文章主要將原本屬於 Glenea 屬的 Glenea gestroi 移至 Bifidunguiglenea 屬，除了重新描述其形態特徵並第一次的記載了雄性生殖器。據 TaiBNET 的資料上，臺灣地區的 Glenea 屬一共有 22 種。其形態相似度高，體型不超過 20 mm，大多介於 10-15 mm 之間。頭略寬於前胸背板，近前胸背板部位略窄。觸角為翅鞘的一倍長左右。前胸背板前後窄，中段兩側稍微膨大，膨大處後方稍微隘縮後再次的膨大。翅鞘後段逐漸變窄，端部可能具兩對刺或根本不具刺。該作者將這種類另外移出的原因主要是在其足之爪鉤上各有一分岔，而屬名 Bifidungui 的意思即為雙鉤爪之意；目前臺灣地區並無此屬的記錄，最近的分佈位置則在菲律賓。
臺灣地區雖說目前已經有 22 種的記錄，但筆者學長曾採集到未曾出現在圖鑑上的種類。再加上體型小、體色不鮮豔以及形態相似度高的情況下，我覺得應該還有種類尚未被發覺。
